PRIVACY POLICY
  1. Introduction

    The Board of Directors of Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association understands and respects the privacy of our valued customers. In order to protect the privacy of all customers of Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association, the Board of Directors has established the following Privacy Policy. Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association will protect our customers’ privacy, while continuing to offer our customers a wide array of products and services and will continue to maintain the highest level of customer service.

  2. Our Customer’s Expectation of Privacy

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association recognizes the need for our customers right to financial privacy. We have established our privacy policy with the confidentiality of our customers as the end result. You have the right to expect your personal financial information maintained at Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association to remain in a private and secure environment. The “trust” of our customers is of the utmost importance to the directors, officers and employees of Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association.

  3. Collecting and Maintaining Information on our Customers

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association will collect, retain and use personal information from our customers in order to provide products and services requested by our customers. We will limit the use and collection of personal information about customers to that which is necessary to administer our business, provide exceptional customer service, comply with certain laws and regulations, and allow us to offer opportunities that we think will be of interest to our customers. Our employees will explain why we are collecting your information, as well as how the information will be used and retained.

  4. Maintenance of Accurate Information

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association will strive to collect and maintain accurate information about our customers. Procedures have been developed and implemented to assure that all of our customers’ information is accurate and complete. Occasionally, errors do occur and customers should contact a Customer Service Representative at 410-539-1313 if they believe that our records are inaccurate or incomplete. All inquiries will be investigated and all inaccuracies corrected.

  5. Limitations on Employee Access to Information

    At Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those employees with a business reason to know our customers’ information. Employees are trained yearly regarding Fraternity Federal’s Privacy Policy. Each training session focuses on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of our customers’ personal information as well as the regulatory disclosure requirements. Employees responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of our customers’ information will only use this information to provide you with the highest level of customer service available.

  6. Protection of Information

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association’s Board of Directors, Officers and Employees are committed to the security of our customers’ financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. Our employees will maintain our customers’ financial and personal information in a secure manner and will follow our internal security standards at all times.

  7. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association strictly limits who receives specific information about our customers’ accounts or other personally identifiable data. We will only share this information with reputable vendors that provide a product or service that may benefit our customers. We will investigate each vendor prior to sharing any customer information with the vendor. We will share only the minimum amount of information that is necessary in order for the company to offer its product or service to our customers.

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association does not disclose our customers’ non-public personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association may share specific customer information with unaffiliated companies under the following circumstances:

    1. The customer requests and authorizes the information be disclosed.
    2. The customer information is necessary to complete a customer-initiated transaction.
    3. The customer information is necessary in the normal course of business; such as consumer reporting agencies and government agencies.
    4. The customer information is legally required or permitted in connection with fraud investigation and litigation.
    5. The customer information is required in connection with acquisitions and sales.
  8. Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Third Parties

    If Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association would need to provide customer information to a third party vendor, we will insist that a written agreement be entered into with the vendor. The agreement would state that the vendor would keep all customer information disclosed to them by us confidential, as stated in our privacy policy. The vendor would sign the privacy agreement prior to the customer information being disclosed to the vendor.

  9. Providing Privacy Information to Customers and Responding to Inquiries

    Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We are committed to maintaining our customers private information and we have developed a brochure outlining these privacy principles. The privacy brochure will be mailed to our customers annually, given to new customers who open accounts or at the customers’ request. Customers having questions about the privacy of their customer information or to request a privacy brochure may contact a Customer Service Representative at 410-539-1313.

  10. Effective Date of this Policy

    The Privacy Policy of Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan Association has been approved by the Board of Directors at the January 16, 2001 meeting and shall become effective immediately.
